The Return of Flamenco Queen Manuela Carrasco to Japan: Experience 'FLAMENCO DE LA RAIZ'

The Return of Manuela Carrasco to Japan

On August 20 and 21, 2025, the renowned Spanish Flamenco dancer Manuela Carrasco is set to stage an extraordinary performance titled 'FLAMENCO DE LA RAIZ' at the Sugiinami Public Hall in Tokyo, Japan. This event marks another milestone in her illustrious career and is highly anticipated, especially after her successful comeback performance in Japan, which last took place 15 years ago. This performance promises to be a spellbinding showcase of traditional Flamenco art, demonstrating the emotional depth and cultural richness the dance form embodies.

The event is organized by LA RAIZ, a dedicated Flamenco production company established in 2020. Over the years, LA RAIZ has not only adapted to the pandemic by offering online Flamenco performances but also created a platform for young Japanese Flamenco artists to collaborate with esteemed artists from Spain. This year's event will feature not just Manuela Carrasco but also Juan Villar, a significant figure in Flamenco, alongside the three generations of the Villar family.

The essence of Flamenco will be beautifully expressed through this performance, as both family legacies—the Carrasco and Villar families—come together to share their love and passion for the dance with the audience.

As part of their initiative to inspire the next generation, LA RAIZ has included special invitation seats for attendees under the age of 20, ensuring that the rich heritage of Flamenco remains alive in the hearts and minds of youth.
