The demand for renewable energy and environmental value has risen significantly, prompting revisions to related legislation such as the Electricity Business Act and the Renewable Energy Special Measures Act. Session 1: Understanding the Basics of Renewable Energy Power and Environmental Value Transactions

In the first session, participants will gain insights into the legal frameworks impacting the renewable energy sector, exploring tools such as Physical PPAs and Virtual PPAs, and learning about non-fossil certificates. Key topics include:
1. The structure of environmental value transactions in Japan and internationally.

4. Best practices and potential pitfalls in these transactions.

Session 2: Diving Deeper into FIP and Corporate PPAs

The second session will focus on the Feed-in-Premium (FIP) system implemented in April 2022. It will cover:
1. Key differences between the FIT (Feed-in Tariff) and FIP systems, including risks involved with FIP projects.
2. Necessary know-how for initiating FIP projects and corporate PPAs.
3. The implications of forthcoming 2026 renewable energy regulations.
