Half Anniversary Update for Chaos Zero Nightmare

On April 30th, Smilegate Megaport announced a significant update for their rogue-like RPG, Chaos Zero Nightmare (CZN), commemorating the game’s half anniversary since its launch. This update not only introduces Season 3: Resounding Voices in the Galaxy, but also brings a variety of enhancements and features aimed at improving user engagement and gameplay experience.

Major New Content: Deployment Mode

At the heart of this update is the newly implemented Deployment mode. This mode reshapes player experiences by variably altering exploration routes, enemies faced, and player choices in every session. As players collect numerous cards, they can enjoy a unique gameplay experience each time.

In this mode, save data isn't persisted, and players earn scores based on their progress during explorations. Starting with a single character, players will progressively recruit allies to form a team of up to four during combat encounters across different layers of the game world.
Once players have gathered enough resources through Deployment, they can invest in items that enhance their existing save data.

Launch of Season 3: Resounding Voices in the Galaxy

Along with Deployment, the update also marks the beginning of the third season of the Galactic Disaster story arc. This season unfolds in the Eddynity ship, the home of characters Hal and Ray, and explores the fictional narrative of the largest idol live concert in the galaxy, fraught with the chaos of a sinister cult.

Within Season 3, players can interact with new training materials and purchase three types of ‘cores’ at the supply shop, which can be used for editing existing save data.

Introduction of New Season Characters: Haidemari and Silvia

Two exciting new additions to the characters are Haidemari, the mayor of the Eddynity, and her secretary Silvia. Haidemari, classified as a passionate ranger, features a unique battle mechanism involving linked card plays that enable devastating finishing moves using the Aurora Sword card. The backstory for Haidemari and Silvia will be progressively revealed throughout Season 3.

Tactical Delegation Mode for Easier Play

To alleviate player fatigue during repeated gameplay, a new Tactical Delegation Mode has been introduced. This feature accelerates combat and event progression across all chaotic content, enabling players to skip through battles or unexplored areas, summarizing the outcomes at the end.

Removal of Seasonal Limits in Major Crevice Events

In the Major Crevice seasonal content, players can now use their beloved decks without seasonal restrictions, adding longevity to gameplay and ensuring a variety of engaging challenges with different deck configurations.

Official Opening of the Screaming Spiral Tower

The previously beta version of the Screaming Spiral Tower is now fully operational, offering players a chance to tackle up to 150 levels, with rewards including team recognition and collectible stickers for those who conquer all floors.

Exciting Anniversary Events

In celebration of the half anniversary, players can log into the game to receive special login bonuses over a ten-day period, starting from April 29th. These rewards include crystals, prism lenses, rescue anchors, and choice tickets for ★5 characters and partners, making for a truly luxurious assortment.

During the event, players can also take advantage of 70 free regular rescues, with a unique event where players can select one out of a maximum of twenty chosen experiences from ten daily rescues.
