Hitachi Building Systems Shines at National Skills Competitions

From October 17 to 20, 2023, the 63rd National Skills Competition took place in Aichi Prefecture, where four outstanding participants from Hitachi Building Systems showcased their skills. Yuto Ouchi earned a commendation in the electric welding category, while Shion Oguchi and Rin Ebinuma received commendations in the electronic assembly category. Additionally, during the same period, the 45th National Abilympics was held, where Ken Matsushita proudly garnered a silver medal in the electronic assembly event.

The National Skills Competition is a prestigious event that encourages young skill professionals under the age of 23 to compete for the title of Japan's best. The competition not only serves as a benchmark for young skillers but also promotes the importance and necessity of skills to the younger generation in the hosting regions. Since its inception in 1963, this event has provided an opportunity for youths to engage with excellence in skills. This year's event welcomed over 1,016 participants from 42 different skill categories. Hitachi Building Systems contributed two contestants in electric welding and two in electronic assembly.

On the other hand, the National Abilympics, established in 1972, aims to promote the professional abilities of individuals with disabilities through healthy competition. This event seeks to enhance understanding and recognition among businesses and the general public for the professional capabilities possessed by those with disabilities. The 2023 event featured 401 competitors across 25 different categories.
