LITFINCON's Inaugural European Conference
LITFINCON, a prominent global series of conferences focused on litigation finance, will be taking place for the first time in Europe on October 7-8, 2026. The conference will be hosted at the luxurious Rosewood Amsterdam, welcoming over 1,000 participants including institutional investors, law firms, and finance experts.
The timing for this event is strategic, as Europe is rapidly becoming one of the most dynamic markets for litigation finance, largely due to increasing cross-border collective actions, international arbitration, and intellectual property disputes. Factors like the Dutch WAMCA system and the evolving regulatory landscape significantly shift how claims are financed and managed.
Jim Batson, Chief Investment Officer at Siltstone Capital, highlighted the importance of this European edition, stating, "Some of the key issues in litigation finance are currently being resolved in Europe, and there hasn't been a dedicated venue to address them. LITFINCON Europe aims to fill that gap." By bringing key stakeholders into one location, vital discussions can thrive, fostering professional relationships that could lead to groundbreaking collaborations.
With the theme "The Claim is the Value," attendees will engage in eleven panel discussions over the two days, diving deep into the legal, economic, and investment trends shaping the future of litigation finance. Key topics will include regulatory frameworks in the UK, EU, and USA; European transaction structures; collective redress and class actions; international arbitration; portfolio and firm financing; risk transfer; and even the integration of AI and technology in the field.

The interest in litigation finance as an institutional asset class is growing, attracting banks, pension funds, insurance companies, and alternative asset managers seeking differentiated and uncorrelated returns. Robert Le, co-founder of Siltstone Capital, commented, "Europe has emerged as one of the most attractive markets for deploying institutional capital, driven by legal innovations and increasing business opportunities."
Early registration is recommended, as the venue has been intentionally scaled to facilitate meaningful conversations within an intimate setting. Additionally, there are limited sponsorship opportunities available for organizations wishing to connect with high-level decision-makers in the litigation finance ecosystem.
Following the Amsterdam conference, LITFINCON’s global series will continue in Houston on February 24-25, 2027, at The Post Oak Hotel.
