AlphaESS Unveils Comprehensive Energy Storage Ecosystem at Intersolar 2026
At the recently concluded Intersolar Europe 2026, AlphaESS made a significant announcement regarding the evolution of its energy storage solutions in the European market. After over ten years of localization, the company unveiled its plans to enhance its product offerings through a robust ecosystem that prioritizes software connectivity and integrated energy storage solutions tailored for various applications.
Transition from Hardware to Integrated Ecosystems
AlphaESS showcased notable advancements, including the STORION-LC-TB150 model designed for commercial and industrial applications. This all-in-one liquid-cooled system boasts a rated power of 150 kW and a capacity of 313 kWh, effectively catering to factories, offices, and commercial buildings. The system operates at a low noise level of ≤60 dB(A), akin to a normal conversation, making it suitable for deployment in everyday work environments without disturbing operational activities. Moreover, it meets UL 9540A fire safety standards and supports up to 12,000 cycles, underlining its long-term viability in energy storage.
The event also highlighted a shift towards integrated storage systems, moving away from standalone battery solutions to comprehensive setups that prioritize local conditions and energy efficiency. With rising energy costs, complex tariffs, and evolving demand, AlphaESS is positioning itself as a leader in providing tailored solutions that marry local expertise with advanced product capabilities and digital integration.
Focus on Large-Capacity Systems and AI Support
In discussing large-capacity systems, AlphaESS has leveraged its decade of experience in Europe, reinforced by local subsidiaries and partnerships, to penetrate larger projects. A significant showcase was a Czech project that deployed 320 MWh in Chvaletice and Kladno, demonstrating the company’s capability to deliver large-scale energy solutions. This expertise has paved the way for the introduction of the Aster 6260, a high-density liquid-cooled platform with a power output of 3.13 MW and a storage capacity of 6.26 MWh, designed for high-density applications and featuring enhanced safety, remote commissioning, and AI-supported operations.
Emphasis on Software and Connectivity
Software marks the next frontier of value creation for AlphaESS, with its AlphaConnect platform acting as a crucial link between devices and energy markets. This platform offers open APIs for virtual power plant operators, energy aggregators, and third-party systems, fostering interoperability among different energy devices and applications. In the UK, AlphaESS has integrated deeply with Octopus Energy, a top European smart energy platform, enhancing intelligent charging and discharging capabilities while also allowing for remote device management.
By connecting over 100 energy partners and platforms, alongside more than 100,000 active systems across 12 countries, AlphaESS empowers users to capitalize on the added value of software, pricing schemes, and energy markets while supporting partners in achieving integration within four weeks.
Continuing Expansion and Commitment to Clean Energy
AlphaESS's broader European strategy is complemented by the opening of its Spanish branch and expansion into the Benelux region, affirming its commitment to localization, delivery capabilities, and the long-term transition towards clean energy across Europe.
