Celebrating a Decade of Progress

On October 10, 2023, SEKISUI SPECIALTY CHEMICALS (THAILAND) CO., LTD. (SSCT) commemorated its 10th anniversary alongside the inauguration of its second CPVC compound factory at the Hemaraj Eastern Industrial Estate in Map Ta Phut, Thailand. The ceremony was attended by 138 participants, including SSCT employees, executives from SEKISUI Chemical Co., Ltd., and former staff members who have played a vital role in establishing the company.

The event began with a Brahmin ceremony, followed by a Buddhist blessing, where attendees expressed their gratitude for the past decade and extended their wishes for the ongoing health and safety of all involved, as well as the future growth of the company. The celebration marked not only the company's achievements but also its commitment to further development and success.

Following the ceremonial proceedings, the opening of the second CPVC compound factory took place, highlighted by a tape-cutting ceremony led by company executives. This inaugurates an exciting new chapter for SSCT, which aims to enhance its production capabilities in response to growing market demands.

After the official events, a celebratory party was held at a hotel in Pattaya. During this gathering, SSCT President Toshiyuki Nakajima delivered remarks expressing heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the company's journey over the past ten years. He emphasized that the unity embodied in the company's motto, “Strong Unite,” will drive SSCT toward further growth and development, leading up to the full operational launch of the second factory in January 2024.

The party also recognized employees celebrating ten years of service, showcasing traditional Thai performances that enlivened the atmosphere. Former employees and current staff mingled, sharing joyful reunions and reinforcing the company’s vibrant and open corporate culture.

Under Nakajima's leadership, the SSCT team reaffirms its commitment to the company's goal of enhancing world infrastructure while promoting the sales of CPVC compounds and other resins like PVA and PVB. The dedication to unity, safety, and growth was a recurring theme throughout the day, encapsulating SSCT's vision for the future.

SSCT was founded on December 19, 2013, with its factory commencing full operations in June 2015. With a capital of 476 million Baht, the company focuses on manufacturing and selling CPVC compounds, as well as PVA and PVB resins. The Bangkok headquarters, along with the CPVC manufacturing plant located in Rayong, symbolize the company’s commitment to serving both domestic and international markets, including operations in India.
