Introduction to Public Relations Course 2026
The Public Relations Society of Japan (PRSJ) is excited to announce that registrations are now open for the "Public Relations Introduction Course 2026", which will run from April 20 to April 22, 2026. This three-day program is designed for new PR professionals entering the field this spring, as well as individuals seeking to learn the fundamentals of public relations from the ground up. It also provides an excellent opportunity for those looking to reskill in the PR domain.
The course features a comprehensive curriculum that encompasses the basics of public relations, practical workshops on crafting impactful news releases, and lectures from active media professionals, offering a variety of perspectives. Course attendees will benefit from the expertise of industry veterans, including Koichiro Shima, an Executive Officer at Hakuhodo, along with other high-profile figures from various media outlets. This interactive learning experience allows participants to acquire essential PR skills that can be immediately applied in their daily tasks.
Participants who complete the three-day course will also have the opportunity to join a networking event on the final day, where they can engage with instructors and connect with fellow PR professionals. This networking opportunity not only fosters relationships but also aids in building a supportive community within the PR sector.
The course has a limited capacity of 50 participants for each session and will close registration once full. Early registration is encouraged.
PRSJ is committed to assisting new PR professionals in mastering the essentials of the public relations field while enabling them to expand their professional networks, ultimately contributing to the growth and development of the public relations industry.

Networking Event:
As a reward for participants attending the three-day course, a networking event will occur on April 22, from 5:15 PM to 6:45 PM, right after the last session. Attendees will have the chance to interact with guest speakers — a fantastic opportunity to expand their network.

The course will be recorded (excluding certain workshops), and will be available as an on-demand course starting in July 2026, titled "Public Relations Introduction Web Course 2026". Participants attending live sessions will also have access to this online resource. Further details will be provided upon course commencement.
Please be advised that video cameras will be set up to record sessions, and attendees may be captured in the video footage.

Note: PR Planner Certificate holders are those who have completed the application process after passing the first or second examination. Only passing the exams does not qualify as a certification.
Note: PRSJ members must be employed by corporate or organizational members to qualify for discounted rates.
