Experience Nature's Gifts at Kurobe Dam: A One-Day Tour on August 23, 2025

Immerse Yourself in Nature at Kurobe Dam

On August 23, 2025, a unique opportunity awaits at Kurobe Dam, where the natural beauty of Japan can be experienced fully. This one-day tour, titled "Experiencing the Gifts of Nature with All Five Senses," is presented by Asahi Soft Drinks, Kanden Elfarm, and Kansai Electric Power. Following the success of the July 5 event, which was fully booked due to high demand, this second opportunity still has spots open until July 22.

Overview of the Tour

Participants will delve into the exquisite surroundings of Kurobe Dam, surrounded by majestic mountains and vibrant forests. The tour aims to foster a deeper appreciation for Japan's rich natural heritage through various engaging activities.

The day will include a historical overview of the construction of Kurobe Dam, an engineering marvel often referred to as the century's most challenging project. Participants will also engage in creating coasters using driftwood collected from the river flowing from the Tateyama mountain range. This creative activity highlights the sustainable use of resources, echoing the tour's theme of ecological consciousness. Additionally, a guided trekking experience lasting around two hours will provide participants with the chance to feel the grandeur of forests and rivers up close.

To conclude the day, participants will enjoy a delightful fruit punch made with Mitsuya Cider to refresh themselves after the trek. This experience not only celebrates the natural beauty of the region but also instills a respectful attitude towards resource utilization and environmental sustainability.
