Pacific Northwest Research Institute Lists Its Historic Seattle Facility

In a significant move for the Seattle research community, the Pacific Northwest Research Institute (PNRI) has officially put its long-time headquarters at 720 Broadway on the market. This 45,000-square-foot facility, which has been PNRI's home since 1988, is now listed for sale as part of the Institute's strategic planning for future growth and collaboration. Heartland, LLC will serve as the exclusive broker for this property, adding professional expertise to the transition process.

A Historic Research Hub

The six-story building has housed an array of laboratory, office, and meeting spaces that facilitated groundbreaking research in genetics, type 1 diabetes, and other rare diseases. PNRI, founded in 1956, has established itself as a leader in biomedical research, committed to addressing some of the most pressing health concerns of our time. This location has served not only as a physical space for scientific inquiry but also as a center for collaboration with local, national, and global partners.

For over three decades, PNRI has played a pivotal role in advancing the understanding of complex biological processes. The decision to sell reflects PNRI's commitment to adapting to the ever-evolving landscape of biomedical research, particularly as financial pressures challenge many institutions in the sector.
