Exus Renewables Secures $356 Million for Two Wind Energy Projects in Pennsylvania
In a significant move towards advancing renewable energy in the United States, Exus Renewables North America announced the successful closure of approximately $356 million in construction financing aimed at the development of two major wind energy projects located in Pennsylvania: the Cambria Wind Farm and the Highland North Wind Farm. The Cambria Wind Farm, boasting a capacity of 61.6 megawatts (MW), is currently under construction in Adams Township, Cambria County, with commercial operations anticipated to commence in the fall of 2026. Similarly, the Highland North Wind Farm, which has a larger capacity of 75 MW, is also situated in Cambria County and represents a repowering effort aimed at enhancing energy output and efficiency. Both wind farms will utilize state-of-the-art Vestas turbines, known for their efficiency and reliability in harnessing wind energy.

The financing arrangement was facilitated by KeyBanc Capital Markets, which, alongside other investors, acted as the Coordinating Lead Arranger for this transaction. This includes the completed Twin Ridges Wind Farm located in Somerset County, which has a generation capacity of 139.4 MW. The new projects, Highland North and Cambria Wind Farms, will further enhance Exus's operational footprint in the region, potentially leading to greater energy generation capacity and reinforcing the state's commitment to sustainability.
Looking ahead, both Highland North and Cambria Wind Farms are set to be celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony planned for September 2026, marking an important milestone in Pennsylvania's transition to renewable energy.
