GAC Expands Its Eco-Friendly Product Line in Morocco
GAC has made waves in the Moroccan automotive industry with the recent launch of three new alternative energy models. On September 24th, GAC, in collaboration with its Moroccan partner M-AUTOMOTIV, held a launch event in Casablanca, aptly named "The Future Settles in Morocco." This event marked a significant milestone as it introduced the hybrid GN8 model, the HYPTEC HT, and the HYPTEC SSR, alongside the first-ever GOVY AirCab debut in Africa.
Over 600 guests attended this influential event, emphasizing GAC's commitment to broadening its product lineup in Morocco. This move is not merely about showcasing new products but is a strategic enhancement of GAC's offerings, designed to cater to a wider range of mobility needs and preferences within the Moroccan market.
In July, GAC had already expanded its range with the introduction of three new SUVs: the S7 hybrid, the EMKOO hybrid, and the EMZOOM. Now, with the addition of these new models, GAC's local portfolio spans alternative energy minivans, premium fully electric SUVs, and cutting-edge supercars. The hybrid GN8 enriches GAC's alternative energy minivan lineup, boasting a remarkable combined range of over 1,000 kilometers, making it ideal for both family and business use.
The HYPTEC HT stands out with its exceptional durability, distinctive butterfly doors, full electric range, and intelligent technology. Meanwhile, the HYPTEC SSR, with an astonishing 1,225 horsepower and a top speed acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.9 seconds, reinforces GAC's reputation for performance-driven vehicles. This diverse array, ranging from traditional thermal vehicles to fully electric and hybrid options, addresses the evolving mobility needs of Moroccan consumers more comprehensively.
Drawing inspiration from the concept of a "GAC Terminal," the launch venue was transformed into an avant-garde mobility terminal, seamlessly integrating products, technology, and immersive experiences. The GOVY AirCab, which features GAC’s innovations in low-altitude mobility, is designed for urban commuting, scenic aerial tours, and to pave the way for future urban air mobility. Guests were treated to a VIP experience, exploring the future of mobility through vehicle displays, AirCab presentations, a captivating drone light show, and performances incorporating lasers and music.
Morocco’s strategic location, positioned at the crossroads of Africa and Europe, is pivotal for GAC’s expansion in North Africa. GAC International's Vice President, Wang Feng, alongside M-AUTOMOTIV's General Manager, Souhail Houmaini, discussed GAC's vision and partnership to expand their sales and after-sales service network, extending from Casablanca and Tangier to cities like Rabat, Agadir, and El Jadida.
