SEGA STORE TOKYO, the flagship store of SEGA, is gearing up to celebrate its first anniversary starting July 17, 2026, with a range of exciting new products, exclusive giveaways, and special events.

The anniversary campaign will unveil a fresh line of plushies from the popular SEGA Cooro(TM) series, introducing new characters like Super Sonic, Metal Sonic, Masumi Goro (from Yakuza series), and Taiga Saejima. Fans can also get their hands on limited-edition shopping bags featuring exclusive art depicting Sonic and Shadow, designed specifically for this occasion.

New Product Highlights

1. SEGA Cooro(TM) Series Expansions
The adorable mascot plushie series, SEGA Cooro(TM), is set to welcome new additions:

• - Super Sonic and Metal Sonic from Sonic the Hedgehog
• - Masumi Goro and Taiga Saejima from Yakuza

Each of these plushies will be available for purchase at a price of 1,800 yen (tax included), launching on July 17, 2026.

2. Exclusive Shopping Bag
A unique shopping bag will be released, showcasing the sunny side of Sonic and the shadowy vibe of Shadow. This double-sided bag features specially crafted art commemorating the intersection of day and night in Shibuya, perfect for fans looking to carry a piece of memorabilia home. The bag will retail for 1,100 yen (tax included) on the same launch date.

3. Other New Accessories
A vibrant, pocketable mini bag designed by Kousuke Kawamura featuring a shredding art-inspired SEGA logo will also be introduced, priced at 2,750 yen. Additionally, fans can purchase a variety of merchandise from the Angry Birds franchise including T-shirts and keychains.

Exclusive Giveaways to Celebrate the Anniversary

In honor of its one-year milestone, SEGA STORE TOKYO will also offer special novelties featuring flake stickers and mirror acrylic keychains themed around Sonic the Hedgehog, Yakuza, and Persona 4: The Golden. These exclusive items will be available according to purchase amounts on a first-come, first-served basis starting July 17, 2026. Buyers can receive:

• - One flake sticker with purchases over 3,300 yen
• - One mirror acrylic keychain with purchases over 5,500 yen

Customers spending over 5,500 yen will receive both a sticker and a keychain.

Special Events and Guest Appearances

On July 18, the actual anniversary date, Sonic will be making a special appearance at the store, providing fans with a chance to meet the iconic character. Additionally, noted contemporary artist Romero Britto will visit on July 23 to celebrate the release of his collaborative products with SEGA. Shoppers on that day will receive a free coloring sheet, selected from the Sonic the Hedgehog by Britto series, while supplies last.
