From December 1 to 25, 2025, the Shinagawa Konan area will transform into a breathtaking spectacle with the event titled SHINAGAWA KŌNAN XR Touch the City -光とリズムのファンタジア-. Hosted outside the NTT Shinagawa TWINS, this immersive experience combines innovative lighting elements and music to create a magical urban atmosphere. The PRISM company, based in Sapporo, will lead the technical aspects of this engaging installation through dynamic LED displays and advanced XR app interactions.

A City Awash in Light and Sound

During this event, visitors can revel in a variety of spectacular lighting displays, complemented by three-dimensional sound that will enliven different spots across the Konan area. PRISM has been tasked with developing the entire operation, ensuring a flawless fusion of digital and physical realms. Together with smartphone technologies, attendees will interact seamlessly with augmented reality (XR) experiences and communicate with an AI character named Minamon, enriching the local urban experience.

This initiative forms part of the larger Shinagawa Konan 2050 Project led by NTT Urban Solutions, with collaborations from NTT ExC Partners and NTT Sonority. As a technical sponsor, PRISM plays a crucial role in providing these interactive lighting features, showing the future of urban entertainment.

Event Highlights

One of the most exciting aspects of the event is the Showtime which occurs every five minutes at three out of five designated spots. Here, visitors will witness a 1-minute special show featuring Minamon and friends, synchronizing with the stunning illumination and AR enhancements, promising to be an unforgettable moment for all attendees.

Furthermore, multiple creative companies, including RED, TLD, and THRUSTER, collaborate with the NTT Group to deliver a striking blend of physical and digital creativity, transforming the Shinagawa Konan area into an engaging urban experience through this artistic partnership.
