Mayfair Gold Appoints Experienced CFO to Lead Financial Strategy and Growth

Mayfair Gold Welcomes Kevin Annett as New CFO

Mayfair Gold Corp., a leading player in the gold mining sector, has announced a significant enhancement to its executive team with the appointment of Kevin Annett as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective April 7, 2026. This strategic move comes as part of the company’s commitment to advance and develop its flagship asset, the Fenn-Gib gold project located in Timmins, Ontario.

Who is Kevin Annett?

Kevin Annett is not a newcomer to the mining industry. With more than 15 years of robust experience in mining finance, he brings a wealth of knowledge that spans from project construction and operational management to senior leadership positions within renowned companies. Prior to joining Mayfair, Annett served as the CFO for Barrick Mining Corporation's North America operations. In this capacity, he was responsible for financial strategy and governance in the region, where he successfully implemented disciplined capital allocation techniques aimed at enhancing value creation.

Annett’s career path includes notable positions at Barrick and Detour Gold, where he honed his expertise while managing financial operations at various sites, including the Hemlo operations. His educational credentials include a CPA designation and an Honours degree in finance and economics from the University of New Brunswick, along with completing the Advanced Management Program at The Wharton School.

Strategic Focus on Growth

The appointment of Annett is timely, as Mayfair Gold gears up to solidify its position in the competitive mining landscape. CEO Nick Campbell emphasized that Annett's extensive background in operations, particularly in Ontario, aligns perfectly with Mayfair's objective to advance the Fenn-Gib Project toward construction and production phases. Campbell articulated that establishing solid systems and cost controls prior to the construction phase is crucial for maintaining effective cost management moving forward.
