Mark your calendars for an exciting event! Animate Co., Ltd. will be hosting the highly anticipated 'Natsuyosai' Summer Festival at the Animate Ikebukuro Store from July 3 to August 31, 2026. As one of the most renowned specialized stores for anime, comics, and games, Animate has 125 locations across 47 prefectures in Japan, with the Ikebukuro flagship store being a notable landmark.
In March 2023, this flagship store underwent a significant renovation and reopened with an even more vibrant atmosphere. Following the success of last year’s event, the Ikebukuro store is set to bring back the Natsuyosai festival, with new and exciting titles.

1. MEGA CAT SHOP - Natsuyosai Special
- Date: July 3 - August 8, 2026
This year, the MEGA CAT SHOP will make a special appearance at the Animate Ikebukuro Store! The shop will feature all your favorite characters transformed into adorable cats, along with limited-edition items exclusive to this event. You won’t want to miss the vibrant displays set up on the 5th floor, specially designed for the MEGA CAT SHOP!
2. ARAMA Mate Natsuyosai POP UP
- New Designs for Corede de Arama Acrylic Stand Holders!
- Date: July 18 - August 31, 2026
Get excited for new designs along with limited versions exclusive to the Ikebukuro store! Collectible products featuring beloved anime characters will be available just for this event.
- Scarf Wrapping Service
- Date: July 18 - July 20, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
As part of the ARAMA event, bring along any of your Arama Tokyo items, whether it's a mini scarf you got from a capsule toy or a luxurious silk scarf. Our staff will be happy to wrap it for you free of charge!
