This year’s theme is “JOY,” capturing the festive spirit through three delightful cake stories. Crafted by executive pastry chef Yuji Takahashi, these cakes promise a unique blend of sophistication and playfulness, ideal for celebrating the holiday season with your loved ones.

Three Joyful Stories in Each Cake

The first cake embodies the magical scene of “Santa Coming to Town.” This exquisite white chocolate mousse is layered over a chocolate sponge infused with the aromatic flavor of TWG Tea's Vanilla Bourbon blend. It combines a rich creme brulee and a tangy blackberry gel, all enveloped in a light and fluffy white chocolate mousse that is reminiscent of fresh snow, adding a whimsical touch to your festive table.

Next is the “Christmas Party Preparations” cake, featuring a delightful strawberry shortcake. Known for its sumptuous taste, the sponge cake is soaked with strawberry syrup, ensuring a perfect balance of sweetness and moistness. The cream, specifically designed for easy enjoyment, offers a light and airy texture. As an added festive touch, icing cookies will be included separately, inviting everyone to add their personal flair to this special creation.

About Chef Yuji Takahashi

Yuji Takahashi, head pastry chef at The Strings Omotesando, has been creating magical sweet creations since his childhood. After graduating from culinary school, he honed his skills in bakery and pastry for five years at The Capitol Hotel Tokyu. He later showcased his talents as a junior sous chef at The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo. Since assuming his role at The Strings Omotesando in May 2017, he has focused on bringing out seasonal flavors and maintaining an emphasis on presentation, creating desserts that offer an entertaining experience for all.
