Hilton's Lifestyle Brand Canopy Makes Its Debut in Kanto with Canopy by Hilton Tokyo Akasaka

Canopy by Hilton Tokyo Akasaka: Kanto's Newest Lifestyle Experience

In an exciting development for travelers and locals alike, Hilton has announced the upcoming launch of its lifestyle brand, Canopy by Hilton, in the Kanto region with the opening of Canopy by Hilton Tokyo Akasaka. Planned for 2028, this hotel will be located directly connected to the Chiyoda Line's Akasaka Station, part of a larger mixed-use development that includes offices, commercial spaces, theaters, and other facilities.

A Unique Addition to Akasaka

Canopy by Hilton Tokyo Akasaka will become the brand's first establishment in Kanto and its third hotel in Japan. Currently, the brand operates over 40 hotels across 13 countries and regions worldwide. Each Canopy hotel offers bespoke experiences that celebrate local culture, paired with elegant design and curated food and beverage options tailored to guests' preferences.

The new hotel will occupy floors 7 to 18 of an 18-story building and will feature 174 rooms, including 24 suites. Guests can enjoy a vibrant rooftop terrace café overlooking the bustling Akasaka district, two dining establishments, and a well-equipped 24-hour fitness center. The venue will also include a approximately 77-square-meter meeting lounge to cater to business clientele, ensuring that both leisure and work needs are met.

Accessibility and Entertainment Hub

The hotel's prime location promises convenience, as it will be directly connected to the Akasaka subway station. The lower levels of the building will house a theater and other entertainment venues, positioning the complex as a key hub for entertainment in the Akasaka area. Moreover, its accessibility extends to major business districts and popular tourist destinations in Tokyo, with proposed limousine bus services available from the airport.

Commitment to Excellence

Mitsubishi Estate, TBS Holdings, and Hilton are collaborating on this development, with each company's leadership expressing excitement about the project's potential. Yuji Fujioka, Executive Vice President of Mitsubishi Estate, emphasized the significance of maximizing the historical and cultural allure of Akasaka through this venture. Similarly, TBS Holdings' Vice President, Takao Sugai, highlighted the opportunities for synergy between media content and hospitality to create unique experiences for visitors.

Joseph Kailala, Hilton's representative for the Japan, Korea, and Micronesia regions, noted the rising demand for lifestyle brands in the hotel market. He expressed eagerness to provide diverse experiences that attract both domestic and international visitors to Akasaka.
