Her involvement in the financial planning community remains steadfast; she currently holds the role of President-Elect and Co-Director of Pro Bono for the Financial Planning Association of San Francisco (FPA), aiming to provide essential financial services to underserved communities.
In 2026, she is scheduled to serve as President of the FPA chapter, where she aims to enhance the quality and consistency of the organization’s offerings while fostering community connections among finance professionals of varying expertise. Moreover, Sydney has accepted an invitation from the Foundation for Financial Planning to act as a mentor for the Community Wealth Council Fellowship, which will launch in collaboration with Capital Group. This mentorship is set to commence in September 2025, where she will guide fellows by providing financial expertise and support in community program development, enriching their efforts within their own communities.
