Discovering Tomorrow: The 2126 Exhibition at ASIA DIVE EXPO JAPAN 2026
In September 2026, Tokyo Big Sight will become the stage for a groundbreaking exhibition called
2126, hosted by Asahi Shimbun at the
ASIA DIVE EXPO JAPAN 2026. With an anticipated attendance of 45,000 participants,
2126 will focus on what the world might look like in a century, encouraging visitors to ponder their impact on the future. The
NPO MORE Project, located in Ito City, Shizuoka, is collaborating with several creative teams to make this exhibition a reality.
What is 2126?
The
2126 exhibition aims to provide an engaging and interactive experience, prompting attendees to reflect on the actions we take today and their consequences for tomorrow. Through various media, including real marine waste collected from our oceans, photographs, art, and videos, the exhibition will illustrate the current state of our oceans and the potential futures we can strive for.
The central message of the exhibit is simple yet profound:
“What do we want to leave behind for the future?” This initiative underscores the notion that each small choice made today contributes to the larger picture of our world in 100 years.
Crowdfunding Initiative
To support the creation of this special exhibition, a crowdfunding campaign will commence on
July 19, 2026. The funds raised through this campaign will not only cover exhibition expenses but will also recruit partners eager to co-create the future alongside us. Joining in this venture means being part of a collaborative effort to shape a sustainable and thriving environment.
