Powerfleet Welcomes Michael Casey Back to the Board

Woodcliff Lake, N.J. — Powerfleet, Inc. (Nasdaq: AIOT; JSE: PWR) made a significant announcement today regarding its Board of Directors. As of July 15, 2026, Michael Casey has been reappointed to the Board and will take on the role of Chair of the Audit Committee. This marks Casey's return to the company, as he previously served as a director before Powerfleet's merger with MiX Telematics.

The decision to bring Casey back into a leadership position was a strategic one, as highlighted by Andrew Martin, Chairman of the Board. Martin expressed confidence in Casey’s extensive experience in public company finance and accounting, calling him "exceptionally well qualified" for the Audit Committee role. This is particularly important as the company navigates through an evolving landscape characterized by rapid transformation and growth.

In a reciprocal exchange of gratitude, Martin acknowledged Michael McConnell's resignation from both the Board and the Audit Committee, effective the same day as Casey's reinstatement. McConnell's tenure was noted for its contributions during a critical period of mergers and acquisitions, making his departure significant for Powerfleet.

"Michael’s leadership has been invaluable during an era filled with change, and we wish him success in his future endeavors," Martin said. The acknowledgment of McConnell’s service reflects the importance of stable governance during times of change.

Upon rejoining, Casey expressed his eagerness to contribute once again to Powerfleet's vision. "I am pleased to rejoin the Powerfleet Board at an important stage in the Company's development," he stated. He looks forward to collaborating with Andrew Martin and other directors, as well as reconnecting with Steve Towe and the management team to ensure the company’s strategic goals are met.

Michael Casey's background is rich in financial leadership. He was previously a board member of Determine, Inc., from 2010 until its acquisition, and he actively participated in various committees during his service there. His extensive career includes over 15 years at TechCXO, LLC, where he served as a partner, providing strategic and operational consulting to technology companies.

His prior roles also include serving as CFO of MAPICS, Inc., and he held several significant positions at other companies including iXL Enterprises, Manhattan Associates, and IQ Software Corporation. Casey’s journey began as a certified public accountant at Arthur Andersen & Co., and he holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on accounting from the University of Georgia.

As Powerfleet embraces this leadership transition, the company continues to solidify its position as a pioneer in the artificial intelligence of things (AIoT) sector. With more than 30 years of dedicated service, Powerfleet's mission revolves around uniting business operations through data integration and analysis, enhancing efficiency, and driving substantial cost savings. The company operates globally from its headquarters in New Jersey and maintains a strong presence worldwide.

The evolving leadership structure is set to help Powerfleet not only adapt but thrive in a landscape that demands innovation and strategic foresight. As businesses increasingly rely on AI-driven solutions, Powerfleet stands poised to enhance its services and deliver transformative results to its clients.
