Promoting Workplace Safety: Asahi Kogyo's Commitment During National Safety Week

Asahi Kogyo Co., Ltd., a leading company in the field of air, water, and heat control technologies, participated in the 99th National Safety Week organized by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare from July 1 to July 7. On July 3, in Chiyoda City, Tokyo, the company conducted a safety patrol at the construction site of the A-building for the Ikebukuro urban redevelopment project.

The company’s president, Yasuyuki Takasu, personally oversaw the site to evaluate safety management practices and the implementation of measures against heatstroke. He utilized this opportunity to provide a safety talk to company employees as well as workers from partner companies.

National Safety Week aims to prevent workplace accidents by promoting voluntary safety initiatives within the industrial sector and raising awareness about workplace safety. By fostering a culture of safety, it encourages companies to maintain effective safety practices and create a secure work environment. This year marks the 99th iteration of this pivotal initiative.

During the patrol, President Takasu addressed the attendees, emphasizing their vital role in maintaining safety at work: “The safety at our job sites relies on the high safety awareness of each and every one of you present here. Without your cooperation, we cannot establish a truly safe environment. As the summer heat intensifies, our greatest weapon against heatstroke is communication. By looking out for each other and being mindful of any changes in health, we can save our colleagues and our work environment. Remember, ‘zero accidents and zero disasters’ leads to the highest quality and efficiency.
