Experience an Artistic Culinary Collaboration at Les Copains de Dominique Bouchet
From April 21 to May 11, 2024, the gallery restaurant
Les Copains de Dominique Bouchet will be hosting an extraordinary exhibition titled "The Vibrant World of Autism." This event showcases the inspiring works of Shunichi Furukawa, an artist with autism whose vivid creations reflect a unique perspective on life. Throughout the event, patrons will have the opportunity to enjoy a special collaboration dish crafted by Chef Dominique:
Carrot Tartlet.
A Unique Culinary Experience
The collaboration menu item, the Carrot Tartlet, can be added to your meal as an appetizer for an additional 550 yen (tax included). However, guests coming specifically to view Mr. Furukawa's artwork will receive this dish at no extra charge. Chef Dominique has been deeply inspired by one of Mr. Furukawa's vibrant paintings, which led to the creation of this remarkable dish.
The Carrot Tartlet highlights the natural sweetness of carrots, lovingly grown underground and illustrated in a delicate presentation. The dish features an array of colorful carrots—red, yellow, and purple—arranged like a small springtime sculpture. The purée, fragrant with cumin, and gently grilled squid add another layer of flavor to the culinary story.
About Les Copains de Dominique Bouchet
Located in the basement of a building in Ginza,
Les Copains de Dominique Bouchet offers a casual yet chic bistro atmosphere inspired by French gastronomy. It proudly holds a Bib Gourmand designation in the Tokyo Michelin Guide for three consecutive years. Open for lunch from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM and dinner from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, the restaurant's cozy ambiance makes it the perfect escape into a Parisian experience.
As part of Dominique's ongoing support for the autism spectrum community, the collaboration with Mr. Furukawa marks the continuation of a project initiated in 2018.
