Huawei Connect Europe: Pioneering a Digital and Green Future Together
On November 3, 2025, Madrid played host to the landmark 10th Huawei Connect Europe event, gathering technical experts, innovators, and industry leaders striving for a digitally advanced and environmentally sustainable future. Under the theme “All Intelligence, Greener Europe,” this year's conference focused on examining how cutting-edge technologies, particularly artificial intelligence (AI), can facilitate a smoother transition towards a more sustainable society across Europe.
David Wang, Executive Director from Huawei's Board, opened the session by emphasizing the rapid approach of an intelligent world. "AI, 5G, and green energy will revolutionize education, healthcare, finance, and manufacturing sectors, creating immense opportunities for transformation and growth," he stated. He dwelled on the notion that within just five years, AI’s contributions could bolster the global economy by a staggering $22.3 trillion.
The next decade is pivotal for Europe as it endeavors toward a dual transition involving both digital adoption and environmental sustainability. As emphasized by Wang, Huawei remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting Europe’s journey, expressing that the organization will persist in its resolve to be “in Europe, for Europe.” By investing significantly in research and development centers, innovation labs, manufacturing plants, and supply chain hubs, Huawei aims to empower European clients on their paths to becoming digital and green.
Leo Chen, Huawei's Senior Vice President and President of Enterprise Sales, also took the stage, articulating the company’s vision for fostering a more intelligent and sustainable Europe. Citing the launch of flagship products and solutions such as the HUAWEI eKit 4+10+N SME Intelligence Solutions, he highlighted how these offerings facilitate easier technology adoption for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), paving the way for a stronger digital future.
In an era where collaborative frameworks are essential for success, Chen announced the introduction of SHAPE 2.0—an enhanced partnership model aimed at fostering cooperation and innovation among local European partners. This revamped framework is intended to assist distribution partners in creating innovative, tailored solutions that meet diverse customer needs throughout the region. Chen further elaborated that through investment in transforming infrastructures, developing partnerships, and nurturing talent, Huawei is committed to building a future-ready Europe.
Talent development featured prominently in Huawei's agenda, with initiatives designed to cultivate local talent and contribute positively to community growth. Programs through Huawei ICT Academies and joint labs work hand in hand with educational institutions to develop skill-based programs and certifications.
The event attracted a roster of distinguished speakers and participants representing various organizations, each sharing their unique insights on advancing Europe’s dual focus on digital transformation and environmental stewardship. Noteworthy attendees included Matías González Martín from Spain's Ministry for Digital Transformation, ensuring government perspectives were well represented, and experts from sectors ranging from telecommunications to renewable energy.
As the conference came to a close, the collective resolve was clear: by leveraging advanced technologies and forging inclusive partnerships, valuable opportunities for sustainable growth exist. Huawei continues to assert its dedication toward facilitating Europe’s green and digital transformations, setting a benchmark for technological progress intertwined with environmental consciousness.
