Einride's new operations officially began on December 18, 2024, just 1.5 hours from the bustling city of Stockholm. Having pioneered similar initiatives in the United States, this launch marks Einride's second major venture into autonomous freight operations. The autonomous trucks operate without human drivers, leveraging advanced technology and machine learning.

A Successful Partnership

The launch is the result of a fruitful two-year collaboration with Apotea, a project that successfully saved over 917,000 kg CO2 equivalent—an environmental impact comparable to making 20 trips around the globe in electric vehicles. The deployment of these heavy-duty trucks promises to enhance transportation efficiency, especially as they ship the final wave of holiday gifts from the Apotea warehouse this season.
