Hanon Systems Enhances Global Youth Education and Talent Development Programs

Hanon Systems, a prominent global automotive thermal management supplier and a part of the Hankook & Company Group, has recently announced its efforts to intensify support for youth education and talent cultivation across its international operations. This move underscores the company's commitment to contribute positively to local communities worldwide.

In its mission to support education and community development, Hanon Systems launched the global corporate citizenship initiative called Hanon Systems Citizen, which zeroes in on three pivotal areas: Education, Environment, and Community. The company aims to reinforce educational initiatives by utilizing its extensive knowledge in advanced thermal management technologies. This includes funding programs related to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), encouraging industry-academia partnerships, and providing internship opportunities designed to nurture future talent in these fields.

One notable recent collaboration took place at the Americas Innovation Center in Novi, Michigan, where Hanon partnered with the Frost RoboFalcons robotics team from Livonia Middle School. The partnership allowed these young students to participate in the FIRST World Championship—a prestigious global youth robotics competition. The event provided a platform for students to showcase their technical innovation, problem-solving skills, and creativity, gaining invaluable experience and recognition.

The company's commitment to supporting youth extends beyond the United States. In Germany, the Europe Innovation Center facilitated visits from students involved with a Formula Student racing team, offering them tours and technical workshops to enhance their learning experience. Further south in Italy, Hanon has actively engaged with local technical high schools for the past three years, focusing on equipping students with practical manufacturing skills relevant to the industry.

Moreover, Hanon Systems displays a dedicated approach toward building local capabilities by hosting talent development programs tailored to the needs of different regions. For instance, in Bulgaria, it has organized lectures on industrial automation and has provided summer internships for students from nearby technical universities to ensure a seamless transition into the workforce.

In Thailand, employees generously donated educational materials and led safety programs in underprivileged schools, while also collecting donations for welfare foundations aiding individuals with disabilities. Additionally, in South Korea, Hanon partnered with the Hankook Company Group to undertake mural projects in elementary schools in Daejeon and Yongin to enhance the educational environment.

A representative from Hanon Systems stated, "As leading suppliers in the automotive industry, we play a significant role in nurturing the talent that will shape the future of mobility. Our continued efforts in supporting education globally reflect our commitment to the communities we operate in and the empowerment of the next generation."

Founded in 1986, Hanon Systems has emerged as a key player in thermal management solutions, having expanded its influence significantly after becoming a subsidiary of Hankook & Company Group in January 2025. With operations in 21 countries across 50 manufacturing sites and three regional innovation centers, the company comprises over 20,000 employees dedicated to delivering cutting-edge technological solutions in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and more.
