Exciting Summer Workshop with Nanakuyu: Create Fruit and Vegetable Keychains!

Experience the Charm of Nagano's Local Produce

This summer, Ginza NAGANO, a hub of Nagano's attractions located in Tokyo's Chuo Ward, is inviting you to a unique two-day event on August 4th and 5th. Here, you can participate in a hands-on workshop led by the talented 3D plastic art artist, Nanakuyu. This workshop, titled "Create Keychains from the Blessings of Shinshu with Nanakuyu," focuses on Nagano's signature agricultural products such as apples, peaches, grapes, and one of the region's prized vegetables—Chinese cabbage.

Why Plastic Art is the Trend Now

Once a childhood favorite, plastic art is making a comeback across generations and is gaining popularity as a captivating handmade craft. The charm lies in the ability to achieve glass-like transparency and three-dimensional depth through coloring and unique shaping techniques. The trend is spreading widely on social media platforms, attracting a robust following.

Nanakuyu is recognized as a pioneer in this field, with an impressive portfolio that includes 11 published books. She organizes workshops across the nation, appears on numerous TV programs and media outlets, and has hosted the "Plastic Art Expo." Through her efforts, she has successfully conveyed the allure of plastic art to a diverse audience—from novices to seasoned creators. As a key figure in the creative unit "nanabo," she promotes design and craft activities focused on creating enjoyment.
