Takarazuka University’s Faculty of Media Arts in Shinjuku, Tokyo, will host a special lecture featuring Masaki Tokuyama, the chief editor of Shogakukan's renowned Doraemon Room. The event is scheduled for
July 6, 2025, and will provide valuable insights into the world of manga and its production processes. Through this lecture, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the various aspects surrounding manga creation, as Tokuyama shares his extensive experience and remarkable stories.

Speaker Profiles
Masaki Tokuyama
Born in Okayama in 1966, Tokuyama joined Shogakukan in 1990. He has worked on various children’s magazines, overseeing notable projects such as ‘Invisible Learning Power’ and ‘Doraemon Tanka.’ In 2008, he became the dedicated editor for the Doraemon Room, where he continues to cultivate creativity in children’s publishing.
Takahiro Kawaguchi
Kawaguchi completed his graphic design studies at Tama Art University and holds an MFA from Kyoto University of the Arts. He is an active member of the Japan Cartoonists Association and brings a wealth of knowledge to his role as facilitator.
