Aruba's Autentico Culinary Festival Returns with Local and Global Flavors

Aruba's Autentico Culinary Festival Returns

The Aruba Tourism Authority (A.T.A.) has announced the return of the Autentico Culinary Festival, taking place from October 11 to 19, 2025. This vibrant festival, rooted in the island's rich culinary heritage, promises to be a weeklong celebration that unites both locals and visitors to honor Aruba's diverse gastronomy.

This year's festival will showcase the culinary creations of local chefs alongside renowned international figures such as U.S. celebrity chef Christian Petroni, Jaime Pesaque, a celebrated chef from Peru, and Tim Golsteijn, a Michelin-starred chef from the Netherlands. Together, they will curate a unique dining experience that reflects the multicultural influences of Aruba, home to over 100 nationalities.

A Celebration of Community and Flavor

Ronella Croes, the CEO of the A.T.A., emphasized the festival's role in celebrating Aruba’s cultural diversity — from the fiery spices of Caribbean cuisine to European influences. "Autentico is an annual tribute to our island's past, present, and future through food. It demonstrates how our community cooks, creates, and shares their stories, making Aruba a unique destination," she stated.

The festival is set to feature several engaging events:

1. Restaurant Week (October 11–17)

During this period, top restaurants across Aruba will offer specially curated menus that include both traditional dishes and modern twists. This is a perfect opportunity to explore the culinary landscape of the island and indulge in flavors that tell the story of Aruba.

2. Bucket-List Experiences (October 11–17)

The festival will also provide exclusive dining events featuring stunning culinary creations by guest chefs at select venues. These intimate dinners will offer a unique atmosphere where food lovers can interact and enjoy the fine art of cooking.

3. The Pavilion (October 18–19)

The festival will culminate in a lively outdoor culinary celebration along Wilhelminastraat in downtown Oranjestad, featuring over 40 local eateries and beverage partners. Attendees can expect an array of bold flavors with both traditional Aruban staples and innovative new dishes.

Culinary Collaborations

During the event, international chefs will collaborate with local culinary talents, bringing forth exclusive dishes for the Pavilion. The collaboration includes interactive cooking demonstrations hosted by Chef Christian Petroni and other local chefs, where participants can learn about their cooking techniques, flavors, and the stories that inspire their culinary creations.

"Food is a way to connect with our families and loved ones, and I am thrilled to work alongside Aruba's exceptional chefs. We're bound to create something soulful and delicious together at Autentico," said Chef Petroni, capturing the heart of the festival's spirit.
