In a significant move for the renewable energy sector, Huasun Energy, recognized as the largest global manufacturer of heterojunction (HJT) solar products, has signed an exclusive strategic partnership with the German company Next2Sun. This collaboration was announced at the recent Intersolar Europe 2025 event held in Munich, marking a pivotal moment in the evolution of vertical bifacial photovoltaic (PV) technology in the European market.

Next2Sun, which is celebrated for its innovative approach to vertical bifacial PV technology and agrivoltaics, shares Huasun's commitment to advancing technological solutions and fostering sustainable energy development. This partnership seeks to combine Huasun's high-performance Kunlun series HJT modules with Next2Sun’s proven system designs, aiming to optimize vertical solar installations across Europe.

Vertical PV systems have emerged as an effective solution for land utilization, particularly in applications that integrate well with agricultural practices, infrastructure, and roadway corridors. The two-hour peak production profile of these systems aligns nicely with energy demand curves, effectively serving morning and evening consumption spikes, enhancing grid compatibility.

Huasun’s HJT technology boasts near 100% bifaciality, making it exceptionally suitable for vertical applications. The design includes bifacial light conversion films, anti-reflection coated glass, and optimized junction box placements. These features provide significant performance enhancements, particularly in locations such as Munich, where projected return on investment (ROI) can reach an impressive 15.1% for vertical PV projects, positioning them as attractive investments.

Huasun's Kunlun series, which is designed to cater to diverse global market needs, offers a versatile product portfolio. This includes modules optimized for vertical installations, such as the G12-132 and G12R-132 models, alongside framed and frameless configurations of G12R-120 and G12R-108 for ground-mounted systems.
