Desay Battery's Innovations at The Smarter E Europe 2025
Desay Battery, a global leader in energy storage solutions, made a significant impact at The Smarter E Europe 2025, held from May 7 to 9 in Munich, Germany. This event is recognized as Europe's largest energy industry trade fair, bringing together key players and innovations from the sector. During the exhibition, Desay Battery unveiled its latest innovation, the UPS 2.0, which is designed specifically for data center operators, large enterprise IT departments, and network service providers.
The UPS 2.0 stands out due to its compatibility with existing systems and adherence to stringent safety and environmental protection standards. This lithium-ion based device delivers 300 kVA of power and boasts an operational lifespan of up to 15 years, significantly reducing project costs. The intelligent monitoring system allows for real-time battery status tracking and predictive maintenance, ensuring high reliability. Additionally, its active security management can integrate early fire detection and access to a cloud-based safety network management platform, further enhancing its utility.
In conjunction with the launch of UPS 2.0, Desay Battery also announced a strategic collaboration with TÜV Rheinland, aiming to speed up its European market expansion. This partnership will facilitate the EU certification for the UPS 2.0 (49 kWh, 8 °C) and its 5 MWh energy storage container. Strengthening the renewable energy sector in the Middle East and Latin America, Desay Battery also forged a collaborative framework for 2 GW of energy solutions with DOS Primärenergie Sonne GmbH (DOS).
These strategic moves considerably bolster Desay Battery’s position within the global energy storage supply chain, setting a replicable model for energy transition in Gulf countries. These partnerships demonstrate Desay's unwavering commitment to developing international markets and fostering sustainable energy solutions through technology and cross-border collaborations.
In addition to the UPS 2.0, Desay Battery highlighted several of its prime products at The Smarter E Europe 2025, which include high-performance lithium-ion cells (DLP-100, DLP-280, DLP-314), the sodium-ion battery DSP-60, and modular energy storage systems featuring lithium modules with capacities of 100 Ah and 280 Ah. The showcased offerings also comprised Lumos C38I DC ESS energy storage cabinets (215 kWh and 344 kWh), a low-voltage residential ESS (10-25 kWh), a high-voltage DC/DC residential ESS (21 kWh at 280 Ah), and the liquid-cooled Vita Utility ESS containerized storage solution (5 MWh).
Recently, Desay Battery was listed on BloombergNEF's tier 1 energy storage list for the second quarter of 2025, indicating its significant market presence and ongoing innovations. Looking ahead, the company plans to further amplify its global reach in the energy storage market while continuing to invest in R&D to cater to the increasing demand for clean energy solutions.
