Narxoz Business School Unveils New Campus in Almaty

Narxoz University has celebrated a significant milestone with the inauguration of its new Narxoz Business School campus in Almaty. This state-of-the-art facility marks a leap forward in the realm of business education not only within Kazakhstan but across Central Asia as well.

The grand opening ceremony hosted an array of distinguished guests, including Darkhan Satybaldy, the Akim (Mayor) of Almaty, and Gulzat Kobenova, Kazakhstan’s Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education. Also present were Aidan Akanov, CEO of Verny Capital, and various representatives from the business sector, including diplomats, international business executives, and academic partners.

Spanning an impressive 6,700 square meters, the new campus is a product of extensive renovation efforts that harmoniously blend with the historic main building of Narxoz University. Inside, it promotes a dynamic learning environment designed as a “living ecosystem,” encouraging collaboration, creativity, and interaction among students and faculty members.

The campus boasts cutting-edge facilities, including digital labs, workspaces adorned with art from Kazakhstani artists, and an interactive video recording studio aimed at producing and broadcasting educational content effectively.

Kanat Kozhakhmet, the President of Narxoz University, emphasized that the institution is dedicated to being a leading provider of business education in the region. “This new campus reflects our commitment to global educational and innovation standards. Our programs are available in English, Kazakh, and Russian, allowing students to receive top-notch education while remaining in Kazakhstan,” he stated.

“This investment in infrastructure and academic excellence is a step toward bolstering our workforce, which will drive innovation and sustainable growth in our country and the region,” Kozhakhmet added, setting the tone for the university’s future ambitions.

Aidan Akanov from Verny Capital highlighted the vision behind this prestigious project, which saw an investment exceeding 14 million USD. According to Akanov, “The new Narxoz Business School campus reflects our shareholder Bulat Utemuratov's commitment to strengthening education in Kazakhstan. The improvements in facilities, curriculum, and the academic atmosphere position Narxoz well to become a hub for knowledge, leadership, and innovation in the region.”

Moreover, the Narxoz Business School has a meaningful history of accomplishment. Over the last 17 years, more than 3,000 students have successfully completed MBA, EMBA, DBA, and executive programs offered by the school. The institution continues to attract international faculty and alumni from top-tier universities and business schools worldwide, including notable names like Harvard, Yale, INSEAD, ESMT Berlin, and IMD.
