Over 80% of Visitors Give High Marks to Osaka-Kansai Expo Satisfaction Survey Results

Success of the Osaka-Kansai Expo: High Satisfaction Among Visitors

The Osaka-Kansai Expo, a monumental event showcasing global cultures and innovations, has garnered remarkable praise from its visitors. Conducted by Nile Inc., a Tokyo-based company focused on DX and marketing solutions, a survey of 550 attendees across Japan revealed that more than 80% rated their experience positively. The event took place over two days, from April 18 to April 19, 2025, and aimed to assess the satisfaction level, reasons for attendance, and popular exhibits among participants ranging from their teens to sixties.

Outstanding Satisfaction Ratings

In the survey results, approximately half of the respondents reported feeling "very satisfied," while an additional 36% indicated they were "somewhat satisfied," resulting in an impressive overall satisfaction rate of 86%. This is a significant turnaround from the skepticism expressed by some before the event concerning potential delays in preparation and venue readiness. The positive feedback suggests that once attendees stepped into the venue, their concerns were alleviated, leading to a gratifying experience.

Reasons for Attending: Experience and Curiosity

The primary motivation for attendees to visit the expo was the opportunity presented by such a unique event. Many expressed interest in specific pavilions, the desire to explore global cultures and cutting-edge technology, and a curiosity for the latest advancements. This trend indicates that a vast majority of participants sought experiences that were only achievable at the expo. The significance of cultural exchange and technological innovation appears to resonate deeply with visitors, who view this event not merely as a tourist attraction but as an intellectual adventure.

Interestingly, passive motivations such as attending for work (2.7%) or family requests (3.6%) were minimal, suggesting that the exhibit has succeeded in attracting visitors through its inherent appeal.

Most Enjoyed Exhibits: Domestic and International Pavilions

More than 80% of attendees ranked domestic and international pavilions as the most enjoyable aspects of their visit. The top-rated domestic pavilion featured Japan's interpretation of the expo theme, “Designing a Future Society Where Life Shines.” It encompassed 17 pavilions exhibiting innovation and service capabilities from major Japanese companies.

In terms of international presence, countries like the USA and France received commendations for their outstanding displays. With 158 participating nations and regions, attendees were treated to a wealth of cultural narratives.
