Poppins Group Welcomes 328 New Employees in 2026 Ceremony

Poppins Group's New Employee Ceremony for 2026

On April 5, 2026, Poppins Group, headquartered in Shibuya, Tokyo, held its new employee ceremony, welcoming a total of 328 newcomers into the family. This group consists of 126 fresh graduates and 202 mid-career hires who are ready to contribute to the company's mission of supporting working women.

Ceremony Highlights

During the ceremony, CEO Maiko Todoroki delivered an inspiring address to the new employees, emphasizing the company’s enduring mission and the three commitments that define their role as early childhood professionals. She articulated the importance of placing employees first, ensuring that their happiness directly translates into high-quality services. The message was clear: as they embark on this journey together, Poppins is dedicated to nurturing a future where employees thrive.

Heartfelt Messages for Newcomers

Each year, Poppins invites influential figures who are making a significant impact in fields related to children's futures to offer words of encouragement. This year's special guest was Professor Nobuko Uchida from Ochanomizu University, who supervised the book titled "EduCare from Birth." In her address, she highlighted the role of adults as "smart supporting characters" in children's lives, urging them to empower children to grasp opportunities and take on challenges on their own.

Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike also sent her encouraging message via video, stating, "Every interaction you have in the field brings comfort to children and families and generates vitality in our society. Together, let’s create a community filled with the smiles of children."

A Personal Connection

The representative speech from the new hires was delivered by a young woman who was once a student at Poppins Nursery School. Her nostalgic memories and the care she received there were pivotal in her decision to pursue a career in childcare. She expressed her determination to become a nurturing educator, inspired by her own experiences at Poppins.

Each new employee joined Poppins filled with hope and passion. The company is committed to respecting this enthusiasm while providing a vibrant environment where they can grow, shine, and contribute to Poppins’ legacy of excellence in childcare and women’s support.
