Daito Kentaku Co., a prominent player in the real estate sector, has published the latest results of its extensive living satisfaction survey, revealing the "Aomori Prefecture Living Satisfaction Rankings 2025" and the "Aomori Prefecture Desired City Rankings 2025." This report shines a light on the neighborhoods that residents find most appealing, as well as the cities they aspire to live in.

Key Findings from the Living Satisfaction Rankings



For the third consecutive year, Hirosaki City has claimed the top position in the satisfaction rankings. With a vibrant downtown featuring numerous commercial facilities and healthcare institutions, Hirosaki continues to attract residents. It ranked first in five out of eight factors measured in the study. Following Hirosaki, the rankings place Oirase Town in second, also for the third consecutive year, while Hirakawa City rounds out the top three, maintaining its position for four years in a row.

Interestingly, Rokunohe Town from Kamikita District has seen a significant rise, moving from eighth place last year to fourth this year. The rankings indicate that both Oirase Town and Rokunohe represent a growing affinity for the Kamikita District.

The survey also reveals that 73.0% of respondents have a positive view of their current city. A significant portion, 54.3%, expressed no particular desire to move elsewhere, while 18.7% indicated a wish to remain in their current city. This satisfaction reflects the ongoing appreciation for local communities in Aomori.

Highlights of the Desired City Rankings



In the realm of desired cities, Sendai City has secured the first position for five consecutive years, signaling its ongoing appeal. Tokyo's 23 wards are in second place, showcasing the mix of urban preferences among Aomori's residents seeking vibrant metropolitan environments. Rising to third place from fifth last year is Aomori City, emphasizing a growing local pride.

This year’s survey also included responses from over 8,000 residents across Aomori, carefully collated to provide a clear picture of attitudes towards living conditions in the region. The complete survey was conducted via internet questionnaires distributed to registered monitors by Macromill. The participant demographic represented a wide range of ages and social statuses, ensuring comprehensive insights.

Evaluation Metrics



The rankings are compiled based on average scores assigned by respondents regarding their overall satisfaction with their current city. This is measured on a scale from 0 to 100, where 100 stands for
