Kicking off on August 1, 2026, this event promises to immerse visitors in the rich culinary and artistic traditions of both nations.
A Celebration of Culinary Delights
For decades, Hotel Chinzanso has welcomed guests from around the world, expressing Japanese aesthetics and culture. The hotel aims to highlight the deep-rooted connections formed since the signing of the Treaty of Amity and Commerce between Japan and Italy in 1866. Throughout this celebratory fair, visitors will experience the unique interplay of Japanese and Italian culinary arts across various venues within the hotel, from dining and lounges to bars.
In the main dining venue, Il Teatro, guests will enjoy a specially curated course that merges the traditional cuisines of Japan and Italy. Each dish embodies a fusion of both cultures, showcasing seasonal ingredients and authentic techniques from each country. Executive Chef Alberto Folcorin, hailing from Italy's Veneto region, will present the standout pasta dish—ravioli made using Japanese rice flour, filled with slow-cooked ragu of flavorful quail, which perfectly represents the harmony of Japanese and Italian culinary styles.
Additionally, guests can relish a wine fair featuring selections from the various regions of Italy. Themed tastings will take place throughout the event, such as
