Creating a Better Future Through Youth Challenges
The Youth Leader Association of Japan is excited to announce that nominations for the 18th Youth Power Award will be open from June 1, 2026. This prestigious award aims to recognize young individuals under 39 years old who are creatively addressing social issues and making a positive impact in various fields such as education, technology, international cooperation, and community revitalization.
About the Youth Power Award
The Youth Power Award is an excellent opportunity to highlight the efforts of young leaders who are committed to making the world a better place. The award has two categories:
1.
Youth Leader Award: This honors outstanding next-generation leaders aged 39 and under.
2.
Youth Leader Support Award: This recognizes exceptional individuals or organizations (40 and older) who support and nurture future leaders.

How to Apply
Nominations can be made either by the candidates themselves or by others. Interested participants can fill out the necessary form via the provided Google Form
link. All applicants are encouraged to showcase their work in various fields, including but not limited to:

- - Culture
- - Environment
- - Social Welfare
- - Local Revitalization
- - Technology and Innovation
Nomination Period
The nomination window will be open from June 1, 2026, to July 19, 2026. This allows ample time for recognizing numerous talented individuals dedicated to their causes.
Selection Process
The selection process will rely on the following criteria:
- - Social impact and ripple effect
- - Future potential
- - Proactive approach
- - Humble contributions to society
- - Uniqueness
- - Support for social education and careers
A diverse committee, comprising members from various age groups, will conduct an initial review of all nominations. Candidates who pass this stage will then be invited for interviews before a formal evaluation by an external board of experts, from which the awardees will be decided.
The results will be communicated to the winners of both the Youth Leader Award and the Youth Leader Support Award by late November 2026, and they will also be disclosed on the official website. The highest honor, the Youth Power Award itself, will be revealed during the award ceremony.
Award Ceremony
The 18th Youth Power Award Ceremony is scheduled for February 20, 2027, at the Hollywood Lounge in Roppongi Hills. We are thrilled to host this hallmark event, where awardees will be invited to give a brief speech (5-6 minutes) expressing their insights and experiences.
This ceremony will serve to commend the achievements of the winners and foster networking opportunities among top leaders from the business and educational sectors, as well as young individuals passionate about making a difference. A networking reception will take place post-event, providing invaluable connections that could support future endeavors.
