Cosmic Exploration through Design: alcarol's Geomorphic Collection
CIBONE in Omotesando is set to host an extraordinary exhibition, showcasing the innovative 'Geomorphic Collection' by the Italian design duo alcarol, starting April 17, 2026. This unique collection, themed around the cosmos, draws inspiration from the intricate relations between nature and space, offering a mesmerizing look into the future of design.
The Creative Minds Behind alcarol
The design duo, composed of Andrea Forti and Eleonora Dal Falla, began their journey in 2013. Situated between Venice and the breathtaking Dolomite mountains, their atelier thrives amidst natural beauty, where they create stunning furniture pieces like tables and stools. Their design philosophy revolves around capturing the essence of materials sourced from their environment, such as wood and stone, encapsulating their textures and stories. Each piece reflects the dynamic interplay of time and nature, resulting in products that are both aesthetically pleasing and artistically rich.
Among their highlights is the alcarol stump stool, priced at ¥792,000 (tax included), which exemplifies the duo's signature style. Their work has garnered international acclaim, especially in major design venues, and now they are exclusively represented by CIBONE in Japan.
The Geomorphic Collection
Venturing beyond Earthly inspirations, alcarol has recently embarked on exploring cosmic themes. The 'Geomorphic Collection' is a testament to this shift, launching in 2023 and aiming to abstract cosmic landscapes utilizing 3D scanning and terrestrial materials. The collection alludes to geological phenomena like tectonic activity and erosion, delivering visually captivating furniture that resonates with the viewer’s imagination.
This upcoming exhibition will feature four types of tables from the 'Geomorphic Collection,' including the stunning Venus Moon and Mars Uranus. Each piece from this collection is priced at ¥1,650,000 (tax included), and the tables are designed with a unique iron base that reflects the collection's theme.
Collaborating with YOSHIROTTEN
Enhancing this cosmic journey, CIBONE has partnered with YOSHIROTTEN, a renowned artist and art director, to create the main visuals, motion graphics, and space design for the exhibition. Known for his work that converges light, color, and the juxtaposition of nature and urban culture, YOSHIROTTEN brings a wealth of creative experience to the project.
An exciting opportunity awaits attendees on the exhibition's opening night, April 17th, at 6:30 PM, where top buyers from CIBONE will provide insights into the alcarol collection and the exhibition itself.
