Kenko Mayo's New Tsaiwan-inspired Sauce Takes Center Stage at Media Event

Highlighting Kenko Mayo's New Product Launch

On March 12, Kenko Mayo Co., Ltd. participated in the Neta Match Joint New Product Presentation held at the Muromachi Mitsui Hall & Conference in Chuo, Tokyo. This event, organized by M3 Company, connects food manufacturers with media representatives. Approximately 200 media personnel attended, with various companies presenting their summer and spring products. Among them, Kenko Mayo introduced its innovative Taiwanese-style sauce, Hakka Flavored Taiwanese Sauce, set to launch in November 2025.

Introducing Hakka Flavored Taiwanese Sauce

The Hakka Flavored Taiwanese Sauce is a part of Kenko Mayo's World Sauce series, designed to easily bring international flavors into home cooking. Currently, this series boasts 11 items, and the new sauce allows consumers to explore global tastes conveniently. The event included tasting sessions where attendees sampled recommended dishes that showcased the sauce's versatility.

In addition to the Taiwanese sauce, Kenko Mayo presented the Spicy Gochujang Sauce, reflecting Korean culinary traditions, and demonstrated beloved sauces from the World Sauce series, including the Spanish Ajillo Sauce, German Curry Ketchup, and Italian Basil Sauce. Attendees praised the authentic tastes, stating that the sauces provide “the true flavor of the region” and enhance the diversity of their cooking.

Taiwanese Cuisine's Growing Popularity

The surge in interest surrounding Taiwanese cuisine is notably facilitated by social media, with hashtags like #TaiwanGourmet becoming increasingly popular. Events such as “Taiwan Festivals” and “Taiwan Street Food Fairs” are held across the country, reflecting a rapidly growing curiosity about Taiwanese culinary culture. The proximity and affordability of travel to Asia also make it a favored destination, satisfying the public's desire to experience “culinary excitement” in their daily lives.

The Essence of Hakka Flavored Sauce

The Hakka Flavored Taiwanese Sauce boasts spicy notes from five-spice powder, star anise, and pepper, creating an authentic representation of Taiwanese flavors. Enhanced by the addition of ginger and garlic, the sauce reaches deeper flavor profiles through the use of soy sauce and oyster extract. It can be enjoyed in several ways, including as a dressing, marinade, stir-fry, or in stews, allowing consumers to indulge in Taiwanese-style cooking effortlessly. Priced at 690 yen (including tax) and with a shelf life of 180 days from the date of manufacture, it is an accessible option for home cooks, launching on November 4, 2025.

Simplifying Traditional Taiwanese Dishes

Often, Taiwanese cuisine is viewed as complex due to the extensive use of various spices and the time commitment needed for preparation. However, by utilizing this convenient sauce, Kenko Mayo aims to bridge the gap, making Taiwanese-style dishes more approachable for everyday cooking. The company remains committed to developing products that elevate everyday meals, enriching dining experiences for consumers.
