Cango's EcoHash Launches Commercial Operations: The Future of AI Computing

Cango's EcoHash Launches Commercial Operations

Cango Inc. (NYSE: CANG), a prominent player in Bitcoin mining, has recently announced the commercial launch of its subsidiary EcoHash Technology LLC, marking a significant step in the realm of High-Performance Computing (HPC) and AI inference. This initiative was unveiled through the launch of an official digital portal, accessible at www.ecohash.com, which serves as the main interface for EcoHash’s activities.

The website is specially designed to facilitate AI developers looking for low-latency computing resources near energy sources, as well as operators of energy-intensive computing infrastructures who are navigating modular journeys toward infrastructure diversification. Goldman Sachs Research forecasts that the power demand from American data centers could reach a staggering 700 TWh by 2030, largely fueled by AI inference workloads. However, the maximum available supply is projected to be just above 300 TWh, creating a notable structural gap of approximately 400 TWh between the surging demand for computing and the slow rollout of appropriate infrastructure.

EcoHash aims to tackle these challenges head-on by leveraging Cango's extensive global energy footprint to deploy standardized plug-and-play computing modules linked to its proprietary EcoLink Orchestration Platform. This integrated system consolidates and schedules geographically diverse computing capacities, enabling enterprise-level uptime through intelligent failover processes. As a result, EcoHash promises elastic, low-latency computing power that scales smoothly and can be activated on demand.

To kickstart this initiative, Cango has dedicated space within its 50 MW mining facility located in Georgia. By capitalizing on the existing infrastructure and power supply at this facility, EcoHash will operate a live showroom demonstrating the full range of container models in action. This facility serves not only to showcase practical performance under various thermal and power configurations but also as a strategic proof-of-concept center for industrial partners within the digital infrastructure and mining ecosystem.

Through this demonstration, Cango intends to attract global partners to connect with the EcoHash network, showcasing the commercial viability of these plug-and-play modules. This collaborative approach aims to build a robust, globally distributed AI power network, with the Georgia model anticipated to be replicated at potential high-value sites both within and outside of Cango's current network.

According to Jack Jin, Chief Technology Officer of EcoHash, "EcoHash is the core instrument of our strategy to design a future-proof platform and serves as our next growth engine, now entering a phase of accelerated commercialization. Our orchestration layer, the central nervous system of our network, is built to enable intelligent real-time allocation of resources. This directly connects decentralized energy sources to the demand for LLM inference, generative AI, and an expanding range of computing-intensive applications while our node infrastructure scales accordingly."

As EcoHash kicks off its operations, it stands at the forefront of the convergence of AI technology and energy-efficient computing, illustrating Cango's commitment to innovation in the ever-evolving tech landscape. With a clear vision and strategic execution, EcoHash is poised to become a leader in the HPC and AI domain, setting new standards for performance and scalability in the industry.
