Kurofes 2025: A Celebration of Japanese Idols

The long-awaited idol festival, Kurofes 2025, is set to take place from September 13 to 15, 2025, at the Uminomori Aquatic Center in Tokyo. Now in its sixth year, this event has evolved into one of Japan's largest outdoor idol festivals, with producer Kuro-chan (Yasuda Daisakasu) at the helm.

This year, the festival will welcome renowned guest MCs, including Minami Takahashi, Mari Yaguchi, and Olin. Each day of the festival will feature a different MC, ensuring a fresh and exciting atmosphere throughout the event.

Star-Studded Lineup

The highlight of Kurofes 2025 is its special live performances, which will showcase legendary idol groups. On September 14, the iconic group Melon Kinenbi will return for a limited-time reunion, celebrating their 25th anniversary with a special collaboration with guest MC Mari Yaguchi. The following day, Olin, as part of her solo act OURIN, will take the stage, continuing the festival's commitment to showcasing diverse talent.

In total, around 250 idol groups will perform across six stages during the event, featuring a variety of performances and interactive segments with the guest MCs. There will also be dedicated talk corners focusing on local idols from all 47 prefectures, reflecting the festival’s slogan of bringing together “local idols you want to meet.” This unique stage, known as the Jipangu Stage, will allow fans to experience a wide array of idols from across Japan in a single event, something rarely seen in other idol festivals.
