TCL CSOT Unveils APEX Display Technology at MWC 2025 to Transform Visual Experiences
TCL CSOT Unveils APEX Display Technology at MWC 2025
TCL CSOT, a recognized global leader in display technology for over 15 years, has made waves at the Mobile World Congress 2025 (MWC 2025) by launching its groundbreaking APEX brand of premium display technology. This initiative is positioned to redefine visuals across various devices, underscoring a commitment to excellence in image quality and user experience.
During the showcase, TCL CSOT emphasized that the APEX technology not only prioritizes stunning visuals but also focuses on user health, sustainable practices, and forward-thinking design. As Jun Zhao, CEO of TCL CSOT, articulated, "APEX sets a new benchmark in visual immersion, blending vibrant colors and superior energy efficiency while actively minimizing carbon emissions and utilizing responsibly sourced materials throughout the product lifecycle."
The APEX initiative is underpinned by four critical pillars, each represented by a letter in APEX:
1. Astonishing - Pleasurable Viewing Experience
APEX brings features such as high contrast, an extensive color gamut, ultra-high resolutions, and high refresh rates to the table, ensuring clear images even in challenging lighting conditions and wide viewing angles. The latest addition, a 13-inch tablet screen by TCL CSOT, is hailed as the world's first AI 4K tablet display with a 144 Hz refresh rate.
In collaboration with Lenovo, TCL CSOT has achieved another milestone with the world's first 14-inch OLED display equipped with a camera-under-panel (CUP) technology integrated into the Lenovo Yoga Slim 9i.
2. Protective and Reliable Visual Health
The APEX technology emphasizes eye health by minimizing eye strain and enhancing comfort while viewing. It effectively reduces blue light exposure, mitigates glare, and minimizes flicker, optimizing display quality for various lighting conditions without sacrificing immersive experience. Demonstrated at MWC 2025, TCL’s mobile display with a WQHD circular polarized 120 Hz eye protection feature and its biomimetic Moth-eye technology showcase this health-centric approach.
3. Eco-Friendly - Sustainable and Low-Carbon
Embracing sustainability, TCL CSOT includes eco-conscious practices throughout the lifecycle of APEX products. The technology features high transmission levels, low power consumption, adaptable frequency, and high integration, paving the way for energy efficiency. Notably, TCL CSOT has developed a 6.36-inch display notable for its low power consumption and the least driver power consumption in the world, representing a 31% reduction compared to the previous LTPO display generation.
Moreover, a 2.56-inch low-energy VR screen from TCL claims a 40% increase in luminous efficiency thanks to its COA and high-efficiency Mini LED backlighting.
4. X - Unlimited Future Imagination
Beyond exceptional product development, TCL CSOT aims to craft unique and personalized experiences by merging display technology with art, fostering creativity and innovation.
Notably, the IJP OLED technology takes visual immersion to new heights. As the unique OLED technology featuring a regular RGB pixel arrangement, IJP OLED presents exceptional color consistency across varying brightness levels. This is exemplified by TCL’s first professionally produced 21.6-inch OLED IJP 4K screen, boasting 99% DCI-P3 color range coverage.
With an impressive light-emission area ratio of 50-60%, TCL CSOT's OLED IJP offers superior brightness and contrast evident in its notebook display, the QD-EL, which achieves the highest brightness levels in the company's range at 350 nits.
5. Commitment to Excellence
With an efficiency material achievement exceeding 90% and a 20% reduction in emissions compared to traditional OLEDs, TCL’s IJP OLED solutions significantly enhance visual fidelity for a broad spectrum of smart devices, including smartphones, laptops, and VR equipment.
