Digna's DX School to Support Digital Transformation in Minamiboso and Tateyama Cities

Digna's DX School to Support Local Businesses in Minamiboso and Tateyama

Digna Co., Ltd., represented by CEO Kenri Umezaki, has received a commission to implement and operate the "Digital Transformation Support Project for Local Businesses" in Minamiboso and Tateyama Cities, Chiba Prefecture. This initiative aims to promote digital transformation and enhance operational efficiency among local enterprises through comprehensive support.

Project Overview

Minamiboso and Tateyama, two adjacent cities located at the southern tip of Chiba Prefecture, are collaborating on this project. They aim to improve business revenue through the promotion and implementation of digital technologies, as well as ongoing support to ensure companies can independently manage their new systems post-implementation. The project is structured in four essential steps:

Step 1: Seminar

The project will kick off with a free seminar titled "Digital Transformation Support Project for Local Businesses." The seminar is set to take place on August 4, 2025, at the Tateyama Chamber of Commerce. Attendees can choose from three participation options: attending in person, joining online, or watching an archived recording. The focus will be on addressing the concerns of businesses wondering how to start their digital transformation journeys. Key topics will include:
  • - Five Principles of Digital Transformation
  • - Successful Case Studies of Profitability
  • - Solutions to Labor Shortages
  • - Effective Strategies for IT Implementation

Date and Time: August 4, 2025, from 13:30 to 15:30
Location: Tateyama Chamber of Commerce
Instructor: Kenri Umezaki, Principal of DX School
Fee: Free

After the seminar, individual consultation sessions will be available from 15:30 to 16:00 for the first five companies that sign up. DX School’s IT Implementation Advisors will provide tailored advice and help attendees create actionable plans for technology adoption.

Step 2: Business Diagnosis

Following the seminar, an "IT Tool Diagnosis to Solve Management Challenges" will be offered. This diagnosis will be available to the first ten companies that participated in the seminar. The assessment can be done online, or for those who prefer, Digna’s advisors will visit the company. They will identify specific management challenges and recommend suitable IT tools, while assisting in creating plans required for applying to the city’s subsidies.

Step 3: Subsidies

Participants will have the opportunity to apply for the "Digital Transformation Trial Subsidy" from Minamiboso and Tateyama Cities. This unique subsidy enables businesses to receive financial assistance for:
  • - Up to 500,000 yen for software that enhances operational efficiency
  • - Up to 250,000 yen for website development costs aimed at boosting customer engagement

The subsidy covers two-thirds of eligible expenses, but applicants must have attended both the seminar and diagnostic step.

Ongoing Support

Post-implementation support will also be provided. Digna’s IT Implementation Advisors will assist businesses for a duration of approximately four months, with around eight one-hour sessions available. They will help navigate challenges such as getting started with the new tools, involving staff, and training employees unfamiliar with technology.
