MITS Capital Initiates Creation of Danish-Ukrainian Defense Company for Enhanced European Security
In a significant move to bolster European defense, MITS Capital, a prominent Ukrainian-American investment group, has launched MITS Industries, a new defense technology company. This innovative initiative, announced on September 18, 2025, aims to unify leading Ukrainian drone-warfare manufacturers under one umbrella. MITS Industries has established its headquarters in both Copenhagen, Denmark, and Kyiv, Ukraine, seeking to enhance collaboration between the two nations for a stronger offensive against common threats.
Perry Boyle, the CEO and Founding Partner of MITS Capital, emphasized the strategic partnership between Denmark and Ukraine, citing their shared heritage, values, and mutual adversaries. He stated, "The combination of Danish capital and technology with Ukraine's large and innovative defense industrial base empowers European defense against Russian aggression."
MITS Industries will encompass a diverse range of defense technology sectors, including unmanned ground vehicles (UGV), counter-drone solutions, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), unmanned surface and underwater vehicles (USV/UUV), and signals intelligence with electronic warfare systems (SIGINT and EW). The merged entity is anticipated to employ over 1,000 skilled workers from Ukraine's forefront defense companies, highlighting the importance of integrating talent and expertise.
Among the notable participants in this venture are Tencore, recognized as one of the leading producers of unmanned ground robots, and Infozahyst, a key player in signals intelligence with two decades of industry experience. Additionally, Unwave, a major manufacturer of electronic warfare systems, and an undisclosed air drone manufacturer are also part of this union. MITS Capital will serve as the principal coordinator and investor in this ambitious project.
Projected revenue for MITS Industries is poised to surpass $200 million by 2026, showcasing the economic potential of this merger. Denys Gurak, the CIO and Founding Partner at MITS Capital, voiced optimism about the company’s future, stating that this is merely the beginning. He added, "MITS Industries will generate significant capacity scaling and revenue opportunities and will be a platform for additional mergers and tuck-in acquisitions. In just a few years, we intend for MITS Industries to join the ranks of European defense primes."
The company will implement a "drone-as-a-service" model, which will facilitate the large-scale production of both advanced drones and counter-drone solutions. This innovative approach is designed to neutralize threats across various domains, including air, land, and maritime. Furthermore, this structure aims to enhance MITS Industries’ export capabilities while attracting institutional investment.
According to estimates from the Ukrainian government, the country's defense industry production capacity is expected to exceed $35 billion by 2025. The domestic market has already surpassed current production capabilities, indicating a readiness for substantial overseas exports.
Perry Boyle expressed enthusiasm about working collaboratively with Ukrainian defense technology companies and their Danish partners, aiming to lay the foundation for the first-ever Danish-Ukrainian defense powerhouse. "Our ultimate goal remains unchanged: to help Ukraine win the current war and to assist Europe in defending itself against future threats," added Gurak.
As MITS Industries moves forward, it will undoubtedly play a critical role in redefining Europe's defense landscape, and its strategic initiatives may lay the groundwork for a new paradigm in transnational defense collaboration.
This merger still awaits final agreements before becoming operational, but the commitment displayed by MITS Capital underlines a vote of confidence in Ukraine's defense capabilities and the ongoing pursuit of European security. Given the current geopolitical climate, the establishment of a robust defense platform like MITS Industries is timely and necessary.
Founded in 2024, MITS Capital LLC has been at the forefront of Ukrainian defense innovations, striving to attract global investments into the defense sector. Its initiatives, including the MITS Accelerator in partnership with the American University in Kyiv, underline its dedication to positioning Ukraine as a key player in the global defense market. With a vision to not only enhance Ukraine's defensive capacity but also reshape collaboration within Europe, MITS Industries is set to be a pivotal player in the evolving landscape of defense technology.
