Greg Berman Takes the Helm at Colorado Permanente Medical Group

In a significant leadership change, Dr. Greg Berman has been appointed as the president and executive medical director of the Colorado Permanente Medical Group, effective March 28, 2026. Dr. Berman stepped into this permanent role after serving on an interim basis since August 2025. He succeeds Dr. Jeff Krawcek, who transitioned to serve as the executive vice president and CEO of the KP Medical Foundation in 2025. The Colorado Permanente Medical Group has a distinguished reputation, caring for approximately 500,000 Kaiser Permanente members across various specialties through a physician-owned structure.

With a career spanning over fifteen years within Kaiser Permanente, Dr. Berman’s extensive clinical and administrative experience will be invaluable in his new role. Prior to his recent interim role, he served as the vice president and executive medical director of operations, where he significantly contributed to the expansion of Kaiser Permanente's hospital partnerships in the Denver metro area, enhancing access to primary and specialty care for patients.

Dr. Berman’s educational background is equally impressive. He earned a Bachelor’s degree, a Medical degree, and an MBA from Indiana University, followed by an internship there. He completed his residency in clinical anesthesiology at the University of Colorado and is board-certified in anesthesiology.
