XCMG Launches Its First Overseas Remanufacturing Center in Indonesia

On September 16, 2026, XCMG broke ground on its inaugural remanufacturing center in Balikpapan, Indonesia, marking a significant step in its international expansion strategy. This facility is tailored to oversee and refabricate crucial components of mining machinery, introducing a local post-sales support hub that will assist in managing equipment throughout its operational lifecycle.

The newly established center will encompass comprehensive services that include component recovery, inspection, repair, storage of spare parts, and the refurbishment of used machinery. This approach is designed to foster a localized service system that addresses the complete operational needs of mining equipment, thus streamlining processes from refurbishment to on-site service.

XCMG aims to adopt global standards for remanufacturing and implement a quality management system based on lean methodology, tailored to satisfy the unique needs of local clients. The facility will enable on-site major overhauls, minimizing equipment downtime and service response times while ensuring that restored components perform at an optimal level. Such advancements are anticipated to aid customers in managing operational costs effectively, boosting equipment availability, and enhancing overall operational efficiency.

A representative from the mining sector in Indonesia expressed optimism about the new facility, stating, "With the remanufacturing center here, support for overhauls and spare parts will be much faster, and we can more easily control downtime losses. This gives us greater confidence to deepen our collaboration with XCMG."

Having been present in Indonesia for over three decades, XCMG has been progressively enhancing its local capabilities across the equipment value chain. The commencement of this construction represents yet another milestone in the company’s local operations, which has seen significant developments this year.

Prior to this announcement, XCMG launched the XCMG Indonesia Finance Company (ABC Multi Finance) during the Mining Indonesia 2026 exhibition held in Jakarta from September 9 to 12. This initiative expands the company's local offerings beyond equipment and technology to include comprehensive financing solutions.

Earlier this year, XCMG successfully completed and commenced operations at its new energy manufacturing base in Indonesia, bringing production closer to the local market. Additionally, the company opened a research and development center focused on adapting equipment to challenging environments characterized by humidity and high temperatures, along with complex operational conditions.

By enhancing its existing capacities—including R&D, manufacturing, supply, sales, services, and financing—to include local component remanufacturing, XCMG is positioned to provide more integrated solutions for Indonesia’s mining and infrastructure sectors, supporting the country’s transition to greener and more efficient operations.
