Animal Picotouch: A New NFC Card Game Launches on CAMPFIRE

Introducing Animal Picotouch

The 'Animal Picotouch' card game, developed through collaboration between Kenbisha Co., Ltd. and CMIRU, is making waves as it launches its early support project on the crowdfunding platform CAMPFIRE on November 10, 2025, at noon. This innovative game merges traditional card play with modern technology, aiming to bring a new interactive experience to players.

Background of Development

As digital gaming continues to dominate the market, there is a burgeoning movement to rediscover the value of tangible card play. 'Animal Picotouch' fuses the tactile joy of physical cards with the convenience offered by smartphone applications, creating an engaging gaming experience. The game system utilizes NFC technology, allowing players to interact with their cards by tapping them on their smartphones.

This unique design not only fosters face-to-face interaction among family and friends but also underscores the team's philosophy of achieving a stronger real-world connection in an increasingly digital era. By providing these experiences, 'Animal Picotouch' encourages players to reconnect in meaningful ways.

Initiative for Project Launch

The project originated from an ambitious idea shared between the Kenbisha team and CMIRU, a start-up from Osaka Metropolitan University. Their shared goal was to create an unprecedented gaming experience, bridging Kenbisha's extensive printing expertise with the fresh and innovative perspective from students.

However, the true aim goes beyond just creating a product. The developing team aspires to spread a new play culture that harmonizes the real and digital worlds. To realize this vision, a dedicated crowdfunding team comprising five young members from Kenbisha has been established. Together, they strive to foster connections and spread joy through 'Animal Picotouch', paving the way for future avenues of play.
