Jackery Collaborates with Morioka City for Disaster Preparedness Initiatives

Jackery and Morioka City Join Forces for Emergency Preparedness

In a landmark agreement announced on December 25, 2025, Jackery Japan, the Japanese branch of the globally renowned portable power and solar panel company, has officially partnered with Morioka City, located in Iwate Prefecture. The initiative is titled the "Collaborative Agreement for the Provision of Portable Power Sources During Disasters and Emergencies." This agreement is aimed at establishing an efficient framework for the procurement of critical resources, particularly portable power units, in times of disaster or potential threats.

Jackery Partnership

The collaboration's essence lies in the promise to ensure that residents of Morioka City have access to portable power solutions during emergencies, as well as enhancing public safety and services in the area. Under this agreement, Jackery commits to responding rapidly to requests from Morioka City, prioritizing the delivery of their advanced portable power sources and solar panels from their logistical hubs whenever a disaster strikes.

Additionally, the partnership is not limited to disaster circumstances; it will extend to regular preventive measures as well. Both Jackery and Morioka City plan to integrate portable power solutions in local disaster drills and educational initiatives, such as those hosted by the Morioka Shibutami facility, to raise awareness about disaster preparedness and green energy.

To kick-start this collaboration, Jackery has generously donated several portable power units and solar panels to Morioka City. The donated products include:
  • - Two units of Jackery Portable Power Station 2000New
  • - Two units of Jackery Portable Power Station 1000New
  • - Three units of Jackery Portable Power Station 1000Plus
  • - Two units of Jackery Portable Power Station 600Plus
  • - One Jackery SolarSaga 200W solar panel
  • - One Jackery SolarSaga 100W solar panel

As part of these efforts, some of the donated equipment will be installed at the Morioka Shibutami "Tamito" roadside station, tying in with community initiatives aimed at educating residents about disaster preparedness. This was showcased at the recent "Tamito Eco Christmas" event, held on December 25, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Future Center in Building C of Morioka Shibutami. Exciting activities designed to teach residents about disaster preparedness were on offer, such as:
1. A Christmas illumination display powered by the portable power stations.
2. An experimental corner where visitors could learn how electricity can warm up their surroundings.
3. A hands-on workshop where attendees could earn a "Future Disaster Hero Certification!"
4. An exhibition featuring tile art created by the students of Shibutami Elementary and Shibutami Middle Schools.

This initiative was made possible through the collaboration of the Dream Seed Project, showcasing a unified effort from local organizations to promote community wellbeing.

Jackery aims to continue extending its support for disaster preparedness across Japan, ensuring not only safety in emergencies but also helping to solve local challenges, thus enhancing everyday life for citizens.
