Citizen Activity Grants Presentation Ceremony

On May 31, 2025, at 1:30 PM, the Pal System Yamanashi Nagano (headquartered in Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture) will host a grant presentation ceremony at the Jit Kofu Plaza. This initiative marks the funding allocation for the year 2025, awarding a total of 1,875,618 yen to 11 organizations operating in Yamanashi and Nagano Prefectures. These organizations focus on various areas such as child-rearing support, creating spaces for multiple generations, and regional revitalization through agriculture.

Supporting Over 250 Organizations Toward SDGs Achievement

Established in 2002, the Citizen Activity Grant System was created to utilize surplus funds from business activities for local contributions. This system aims to foster connections among the people living in Yamanashi and Nagano, encouraging them to solve various local issues and enhance community engagement. To date, the program has supported over 250 organizations with more than 40 million yen in grants.

The grant recipients benefit not only from financial support but also from collaborative opportunities at regional events organized by Pal System Yamanashi Nagano. They enhance mutual understanding regarding community challenges through exchange meetings where each organization showcases its activities.

As 2025 marks the International Year of Cooperatives as designated by the United Nations, cooperatives are expected to significantly contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Pal System Yamanashi Nagano emphasizes the importance of maintaining relationships with organizations that address local issues, ensuring that no one is left behind in building an inclusive society.
