Voltage Energy Showcases Pre-Assembled Cabling Solutions at Intersolar Europe 2026
From June 23 to 25, 2026, Voltage Energy Group, a global leader in Electrical Balance of System (EBOS) solutions for large-scale solar projects, demonstrated its innovative offerings at Intersolar Europe in Munich. This year's event highlighted the company's flagship pre-assembled cabling solutions, LYNX PLUS and IBEX PLUS, which integrate seamlessly into a broader EBOS framework, specifically designed to support the next generation of high-voltage, high-power solar projects.
Comprehensive Solutions for Modern Solar Projects
As large-scale solar developments transition to higher voltage and power architectures, Voltage Energy has expanded its product portfolio from individual cabling products to a comprehensive pre-assembled cabling solution. This integrated approach addresses a wide range of current-carrying applications, helping developers and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) firms optimize project design, reduce installation complexity, and enhance long-term system reliability.
Compared to traditional point-to-point wiring methods, these advanced solutions can reduce cable usage by up to 33% and installation time by as much as 50%. This significant improvement accelerates project timelines and boosts implementation efficiency. Bob Slack, Chief Technology Officer of Voltage Energy, stated, "Solar developers and EPC firms are under increasing pressure to execute larger projects with fewer installation resources and tighter deadlines. We believe the future of EBOS lies in integrated system-level solutions that simplify implementation, help reduce the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE), and prepare customers for higher voltage architectures."
Addressing Current Capacity Challenges
Voltage Energy's solution portfolio includes LYNX PLUS, IBEX PLUS, LYNX, IBEX, and ALEX, all designed to handle various project topologies and electrical loads. LYNX PLUS is engineered specifically for high-current applications, accommodating trunk capacities of up to 400 mm² (853 A), significantly reducing voltage drop by up to 34% compared to conventional 240 mm² designs, and eliminating the need for traditional combinational boxes to simplify installation and maintenance.
IBEX PLUS bridges the critical gap in medium current capacity ranging from 70 to 168 A. With a cable design that boasts 97% flexibility using aluminum, it is up to 41% lighter than traditional copper alternatives and can reduce capital expenditure by approximately 27%. The hybrid interface options of copper and aluminum offer enhanced design flexibility while optimizing material use and logistics.
Innovating for 2 kV-Ready Solar Systems
Voltage Energy incorporates innovations such as flexible aluminum conductors, optimized electrical designs, and 2 kV-ready architectures in its pre-assembled EBOS solutions. These enhancements help improve installation efficiency and meet the evolving demands of large-scale solar projects. Both LYNX PLUS and IBEX PLUS have received UL certification for 2 kV in the U.S. and are currently undergoing European certification, positioning Voltage Energy to drive greater adoption of advanced system-level EBOS solutions across Europe.
